Description
This E-Bike Hydraulic Brake Lever is a direct replacement master cylinder for e-bikes using a 10mm hydraulic hose fitting, combining the brake lever and hydraulic reservoir in one integrated unit with a built-in motor cut-off sensor. It’s the version we fit and test regularly in our Sydney workshop, commonly used on Vinxs 2025+ models and other compatible e-bikes running the same hydraulic brake system.

E-Bike Hydraulic Brake Lever Compatibility
Commonly used on Vinxs 2025+ models and other compatible e-bikes using the same hydraulic brake system with a 10mm hose fitting and integrated motor cut-off sensor. This isn’t an exclusive Vinxs part — any e-bike using the same brake setup will work, but hydraulic brake hardware varies between manufacturers and even between model years, so it’s worth confirming before you order.
How to identify the correct version: If the hydraulic hose fitting uses a 12mm spanner, you need the 10mm brake lever. If it uses a 10mm spanner, your bike uses the 8mm version instead. If you’re unsure, send us a photo before ordering and we’ll help identify the correct replacement.
Left and Right levers are mechanically identical apart from mounting orientation — select the correct side above based on the lever you’re replacing.
Safety & Installation Notes
Installing a hydraulic brake lever means opening the brake system, so the brakes will need bleeding afterwards to clear any air from the line — this should only be attempted if you’re experienced with hydraulic brake maintenance. If you’d rather not do this yourself, our workshop can fit and bleed it for you.
Because this lever includes the motor cut-off sensor, double-check the sensor wiring is reconnected correctly during installation — a disconnected or miswired sensor can mean your motor doesn’t cut power when you brake, which is a safety-relevant fault, not just a comfort feature. If you’re not confident checking this yourself, have it fitted by a workshop.
For general guidance on caring for your brakes once the new lever is installed, see Park Tool’s disc brake pad removal and installation guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I need the 10mm or 8mm version?
Check the spanner size on your existing hydraulic hose fitting. A 12mm spanner means you need this 10mm lever; a 10mm spanner means your bike actually uses the 8mm version instead. Send us a photo if you’re not sure.
Will this fit my e-bike?
It’s commonly used on Vinxs 2025+ models and other e-bikes using the same 10mm hydraulic brake system. Compatibility depends on your bike’s exact brake hardware, so check the fitting size above or send us a photo and we’ll confirm.
What does the motor cut-off sensor do?
It’s a small switch built into the lever that cuts power to your motor the instant you squeeze the brake, so the motor isn’t still driving the wheel while you’re braking. It’s a safety feature, so it’s worth confirming it’s wired and working correctly after installation.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, if you’re comfortable working with hydraulic brakes and can bleed the system afterwards. If not, our workshop can install and bleed it for you — see the Safety & Installation Notes above.
Do I choose Left or Right before ordering?
Yes — this listing covers both sides. Choose Left or Right from the options above, matching the lever you’re replacing, before adding to cart.
